फुटबॉल व बास्केटबॉल की कुल 60 टीमें लेंगी हिस्सा दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय का महाराजा अग्रसेन कॉलेज कर रहा प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन
“महाराजा अग्रसेन कॉलेज, दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय में 5 दिवसीय अंतरमहाविद्यालयीय/विश्वविद्यालयीय खेल प्रतियोगिता का शुभारम्भ कालेज परिसर में किया गया. इस प्रतियोगिता का उद्घाटन स्थानीय विधायक कुलदीप कुमार तथा कालेज गवर्निंग बॉडी के चेयरमैन अतुल कुमार जैन ने किया. इस प्रतियोगिता में विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों और संस्थानों से फुटबॉल व बास्केटबॉल की कुल 60 टीमें भाग ले रही हैं. इस प्रतियोगिता दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न कालेजों, चंडीगढ़ विश्वविद्यालय, अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, इन्द्रप्रस्थ विवि, जामिया हमदर्द विवि, एमिटी विवि नोयडा, नोएडा कॉलेज ऑफ फिजिकल एजुकेशन आदि संस्थानों की टीमें हिस्सा ले रही हैं।
महाराजा अग्रसेन कप २२ के उद्घाटन अवसर पर विशिष्ट अतिथि कुलदीप कुमार ने दिल्ली खेल विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना सहित केंद्र और राज्य सरकारों की तरफ से किये गए प्रयासों को रेखांकित करते हुए खेल सुविधाओं को बढ़ावा देने का आश्वासन दिया.
इस अवसर पर गवर्निंग बॉडी के चेयरमैन श्री अतुल कुमार जैन ने खेल भावना और युवा पीढ़ी में इसकी आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि एक स्वस्थ समाज के विकास के लिए युवाओं में खेल भावना का होना जरूरी है।
महाराजा अग्रसेन कॉलेज के प्राचार्य प्रो. संजीव कुमार तिवारी ने इस अवसर पर कालेज की शैक्षणिक, सहशैक्षणिक व खेल सम्बन्धित उपलब्धियों को रेखांकित किया.
गवर्निंग बॉडी के कोषाध्यक्ष श्री सौरभ मिश्रा ने भी अपने वक्तव्य में खेल एवं खेल भावना की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया.
टूर्नामेंट के उद्घाटन समारोह के अवसर पर गवर्निंग बॉडी की सदस्य शबाना बानो, डॉ बीआर अंबेडकर कॉलेज की चेयरपर्सन रीता मैथ्यू बेंजामिन, शिक्षक व शिक्षकेत्तर कर्मचारी तथा बड़ी संख्या में छात्र-छात्राएं उपस्थित थे।
स्पोर्ट्स कमिटी के कन्वेनर श्री नीरज कुमार सिंह ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया तथा कार्यक्रम का संचालन डा. श्रुति गोयल और डॉ. गुंताशा तुलसी ने किया।
आयोजन समिति के संयोजक मुकेश अग्रवाल ने प्रतिभागियों को बेहतर प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।

Maharaja Agrasen Cup 2022
A 5-days inter-college/university sports tournament for football and basketball was inaugurate today in Maharaja Agrasen College ground by Mr. Kuldeep Kumar and Mr. Atul Kumar Jain.
60 teams from different educational institutions are participating in the tournament. Most of the colleges of Delhi University, Ambedkar University, Chandigarh University, I.P. University, Jamia Hamdard, Amity University, NOIDA are participating in the Maharaja Agrasen Cup 2022.
Inaugurating the tournament the guest of honor Sri Kuldeep Kumar has highlighted the initiative taken by central and state governments including the opening of the Delhi Sports University. He also assured the college community to provide all assistance for all round development of the sports infrastructure in the college. Sri Atul Kumar Jain, chairman of the governing body of the college has emphasized the development of sports culture in the educational institutions. Further he added that a healthy society could be based on the sports and physical fitness of youth.
Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, the principal of the college highlighted the achievements of the Maharaja Agrasen College in the field of sports, academic and co-curricular activities. Mr. Saurabh Mishra, treasured of the college has also presented his perspective and focused on the roles of games sports.
Ms. Rita Benjamin, Ms. Shabana Bano and Mr. Sanjiv Kumar has also graced the occasion. Dr. Neeraj Kumar has presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Mukesh Agarwal, the organizing secretary of the tournament has also conveyed his best wishes to all the participating teams.
